Your survivor can stay on one device. If you want another copy, invited accounts can keep three manual backups and one automatic playtest recovery save online.
The online copy is tied to your signed-in account. Your email is not written into the save itself.
The three named slots update only when you press Seal. The automatic playtest copy is labelled separately in Settings.
If another device has already changed the slot, the game asks you to refresh instead of overwriting it.
Before a restore, the game moves the current device save into the local backup slot.
Sign-in required
Online backups need an account.
Device saves and downloaded exports still work without one. Sign in only if you want a copy you can reach from another device.
