The First Pilgrimage

The first hour now opens cleanly, explains less when asked, and makes confusion easy to report.

24 AUG 2026OPEN THE RIGHT DOOR.one account · quiet guidance · six route checks · private notes
I

The invited account now opens the closed build cleanly.

One account door

  • The game keeps its boot screen visible while invitation access and recovery are checked.
  • The site account is bound before any character or account screen is revealed.
  • A failed check shows a closed-field message without exposing a second local sign-in.
II

The First Night remains useful without occupying the whole screen.

Guidance that knows when to be quiet

  • Keep the full explanation while learning food, light, travel, Cash and recovery.
  • Quiet it into a compact next-objective strip whenever the extra context is no longer useful.
  • Restore the full guide at any time; the seven evidence-backed objectives and rewards are unchanged.
III

A private report button now follows every invited survivor.

Confusion has a short road home

  • Describe what you tried and what you expected without leaving the current section.
  • Optionally attach only the low-resolution pixel-world canvas.
  • The limited context excludes names, email, dialogue, inventory and save contents.
IV

Every major early-life identity gets a deterministic first-hour route.

Six opening lives under test

  • Worker, nomad, cultivator, fighter, trader and criminal routes each touch at least four connected systems.
  • Every route keeps a survival reserve and reaches meaningful progress within sixty minutes.
  • No route requires property, PvP or an irreversible story choice.
V

The field ledger records hesitation bands, not private play.

Friction without surveillance

  • Long pauses and repeated section returns are counted only during the first hour.
  • The signal records a section, duration band and current objective—not click contents.
  • Playtest evidence can still be erased without removing access or saved progress.

AUDIO

Music and sound

1 changes
  • Eight original scores cover the account screen, character creation and all six regions. Music, weather and action sounds have separate volume controls, plus an immediate silence button.
VOICE

People who remember you

1 changes
  • Named residents now speak differently by region and profession, remember earlier conversations and respond to trust, weather and the work your survivor does.
CLOTH

More control over clothing

1 changes
  • Hoods, headwear, face coverings, sleeves and coat fastening are separate appearance choices. Helmets still take priority when they need to.
WEB

A darker website

1 changes
  • The website gained its smoke, fog, ash, violet tracery and old-web Night Shrine frame, with a still version for reduced-motion visitors.
MARGIN

Business books that add up

1 changes
  • Warehouses and factories now show stock cost, wholesale value, expected profit and realised margin. Taking stock records the numbers; it does not create a reward.
13,304

Every item can be found

1 changes
  • The searchable item catalogue lists all 13,304 item IDs, including 43 consumables, with uses, rarity, slots and book value.
PNG

Private field captures

1 changes
  • The game can export a 1280 × 720 world image. The website gallery keeps up to twelve on this device and uploads none of them.
SAVE

Online save recovery

1 changes
  • Invited accounts have three manual backup slots, revision history and a separate automatic playtest recovery copy. Device saves and downloads still work on their own.
WIRE

The Morrowline

1 changes
  • Six relay keepers carry warnings, post and banking across a network affected by storms, power and physical repair.
CASH

Economy repairs

1 changes
  • Crafted resale now accounts for materials, labour and local demand across merchants, shops and businesses, closing the easiest route-swapping exploit.
MAP

The Surveyor Atlas

1 changes
  • The public map now lets you inspect six regions, routes, threats, settlements and individual places instead of showing a decorative placeholder.
AWAY

The Return Report

1 changes
  • When you come back, the game shows the actual XP, items, Cash, health changes and Wanderer choices that happened while you were away.

The useful numbers, without the sales pitch.

These are working comparison ranges, not guaranteed earnings. Demand, skills, supplies and plain bad luck will change an individual run.

Where does the first hour hesitate?

The next sessions need to show whether invited players recognise the next useful action, when they quiet the guide, which sections they revisit, and what they report as confusing.
