Ten fictional vehicles

Roadbound includes ten Gravebloom vehicles: compact hatchbacks, coupes, saloons, wagons, four-wheel drives, vans, campers and a motorhome.

They take inspiration from broad motoring eras without copying a real badge or model.

02

Find or buy

A regional wreck search requires Scavenging 60, Survival 50, recovery straps, Cash and a forty-five-minute road-read interval.

Licensed mechanic yards also sell one costly roadworthy title to survivors with Total Level 350 and Engineering 50.

03

Five rebuilding stages

Recover the shell, square the frame, rebuild the powertrain, finish the running gear and electrics, then pass inspection.

If your skill is too low, the stage spends nothing. After inspection, the vehicle is yours.

04

4,200 exact parts

Every combination of ten models, twenty-eight systems, five grades and three fictional component houses has a permanent item ID.

Injectors, timing drive, turbo, cooling, gearbox, brakes, suspension, tyres, wheels, exhaust, bumpers, tint and bodywork change speed, efficiency, reliability, grip or appearance.

05

Installed parts change the drawing

The vehicle shown in the garage uses the parts you actually fitted.

Wheels change spoke count and rim size, tyres change sidewall depth, springs alter ride height, and tint, bumpers, exhaust and bodywork remain visible.

06

Player work or mechanic invoice

A survivor with the required Engineering level can buy and fit the exact compatible component.

A mechanic can source and install it for the part price plus labour. Model mismatch is rejected before money or inventory changes.

07

Fuel, wear and roads

Vehicles travel only between signed regional road destinations.

Distance consumes the correct fuel and wears installed systems; reliability slows that wear but never removes it. The journey is much faster than walking, while a low-condition machine must be serviced first.

08

Six road chapters

Each region has its own possible arrival trouble: tyre damage at the chapel verge, a flooded Blackwater culvert, a rootbound courier, Crown Edge charging failure, the last Ash Coast pump and a silent Iron Vale convoy.

You can repair the problem, pay for recovery or mark the hazard for somebody else.

09

Mechanics remember you

Mara Venn, Oren Pike, Ilyan Bramble, Sabine Cross, Niko Salt and Dena Quench each have their own method, roads and opinions.

They remember earlier conversations, but talking to them is not a repeatable source of Cash or items.

10

Mobile bases

The Low-Tide Camper and Aster Motorhome take twelve modules, including lamps, a storm awning, bellwire security, insulation, bunk, locker, solar, water, heater, bench, radio and medical storage.

Water, power and warmth still run out. A fixed home offers more room for production and defence.

11

How the costs were tested

All ten vehicles were run through twelve 12,000-kilometre test years.

Fuel, scheduled servicing and wear remain expensive, every machine saves useful travel time, and the two mobile homes cost more to run instead of becoming the obvious best choice.

12

Buying and selling

Vehicles cannot be handed directly to another player.

A one-time player-shop listing is planned, but it will stay closed until real sellers can safely list vehicles they genuinely own. There are no loot boxes, paid advantages, daily streaks or wear while you are logged out.

01

Keep the service reserve separate from the purchase price.

02

Upgrade reliability and tyres before chasing top speed.

03

Use a camper to widen a nomad route, not to imitate every property room.

04

Inspect fuel and condition before the outbound leg and again before the return.
